Good Morning First Graders!!
Google Meet: today at 10am. Please bring paper and pencil for spelling test. Write your name on the top of the paper and number from 1-12. We will be taking our spelling test and then we will have a Mystery Guest.
Mother's Day:
- I have posted a file in google classroom for you to do a surprise for your mom for Mother's Day. Don't ask her for any of the answers. Write what you think is the answer. You can work on this today if you haven't already done so. Ask your dad if you need help. ;)
- We have worked with contractions this school year. I would like for you to review them today. Remember, a contraction is when you take two words and combine them to make one smaller word. We use an apostrophe to take the place of the missing letter(s).

- Do IXL -- First Grade -- Language Arts -- OO. Contractions (1,2,3,4 is starred. Do as much as you can in 20 minutes.)
- Read for 20 minutes a book from home, from Epic Reading or RazKids.
Spelling:
- Test -- we will take our test on our google meeting at 10am. Please bring a piece of paper and pencil. Write your name on the top of the paper and number from 1-12.
Math:

- Do pages 435-436
- Draw and label on paper the following lines: 25 cm., 8 cm., 13 cm., 17 cm. line
- Measure 5 objects and label how many centimeters each object is.
- Do pages 280-282
- Test -- you will find Chapter 24 Test posted in google classroom. Please have your child do this without any assistance.
Sterling Mine Vitual Field Trip:

- Read the book: Rock Collecting by Elaine Pascoe
- Watch the video: Rocks and Minerals. Then take the quiz after.
- Do My Rocks Sorting Activity -- have fun collecting rocks!
Please remember to either email me your child's work everyday or drop off their work in the box placed in front of the school building at the end of the week so I can pick it up from there to review. Thank you!
