Spelling: Workbook page 1. NO TEST FRIDAY! Spelling tests will begin next week.

Reading: Worksheet page 4 & Decodable - Have your child do their best to read their decodable two more times for homework. Return the decodable to school tomorrow. If you would like more time to work on the decodable with your child, simply send it back at the end of the week!

Math: Workbook page 1.

• Snack Permission Slip - Please sign and return by ASAP!

Welcome to 1st Grade!

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 1st Grade Blog! Here you will find your child's Homework and any important announcements for our class. Please check the blog daily! Here are a few reminders:

• Early Supply Drop Off - August 31st - 4 PM to 6 PM. Please come right to the 1st Grade door from the parking lot. My door will be open 😀.

• Keep your child's Homework Folder in their backpack for the first day. This will be our primary means of sending home school work and important paperwork. Please do not include it with your supplies at "Early Supply Drop Off".

• Email me at cjoyce@stthereseroxbury.org with your child's dismissal plan for this school year. Please indicate whether they will be a bus rider, car rider or attend After Care. If your plan changes weekly, please indicate that in the email. This will help facilitate a smooth first day of school. Thank you to those who have already done so!

• We will have a snack and lunch each day with the exception of half days where we will only have a snack. 

• Our first day of school will be a GYM day. Please have your child wear their Gym uniform on the first day of school.

• Please make sure your child comes to school each day with a leak proof water bottle.
