Reading:
  • Do Groundhog book page 133
  • Please open up your textbook to page 44 and 45 and watch this for today's lesson: https://youtu.be/-ohDXhaUw4c

  • Read for 20 minutes a book from home, Epic Reading or Raz Kids
Spelling:
  • Here is this weeks spelling words: mouth, house, found, our, out, cloud, ouch, shout, round, count, should, loved. You will also find them listed on Cow Book page 101.
  • Spelling menu is posted in google classroom -- choose one activity each day to study your spelling words from this menu.

Math:
  1. Maria drinks 1 glass of water. Does she drink more than 1 liter or less than 1 liter?
  2. Mr. Smith makes a large bowl of punch for the class party. Does he make more than 1 liter or less than 1 liter?
  3. Dad waters the vegetable garden. Does he use more than 1 liter of water or less than 1 liter of water?                         
Religion:
  • Open your book to page 283 and watch this for today's discussion: https://youtu.be/IZ3wHcZvuRA
  • Answer "We Respond" question on page 284.
  • Do: You are going to make a storyboard about Mary. Draw 3 squares in a row on a piece of paper. You will draw a picture of Mary in each square. In the first square, draw a picture of the angel visiting Mary. In the second square, draw a picture of Mary and Jesus doing something together. In the third picture, draw the Holy Family. Write a sentence under each picture telling about it.
Social Studies:
  • The song, The Star Spangled Banner, is the national anthem of the United States. Many people stand and put their hand over their heart when they sing this song to show respect for the flag and our country. You might have heard this song before, especially before a sporting event.

  • Do workbook pages 58-59
  • Optional Challenge: In Social Studies, you have just learned about people and events that have helped shape the United States today. Write 3-5 sentences about what you have learned over the past 2 weeks. (some words you might use are leaders, holidays, symbols, voting, colonies, freedom, capital, citizen, President)

CHALLENGE!  I have posted in our google classroom a writing choice board for you to work on this week. This will definitely help you think and work on your writing skills. How many boxes can you do this week? I can't wait to see your completed work!
