Students will be doing the following with me during your small group or whole class meeting times (Please do not do this ahead of time --- we will do this together):

Reading:

  • Read and discuss decodable reader " We See Pets"

  • Reading textbook pages 68-69
  • Do Groundhog Book page 24
Math: pages 219-220

Science:
  • textbook page B16-B17
  • Parents: I will be giving the directions to your children and will be modeling this experiment when I meet with them. They will not be doing this "live" with me but after our lesson they can go do this experiment, when it is convenient for you in the afternoon/evening. Here is the info that I will be giving them: I have sent home a black piece of construction paper. On one half I wrote "plain" and the other half I wrote "salt". Your children will be placing a few drops of plain water on the "plain" half. They will then put a few drop of salt water on the "salt" half. (To make the salt water solution, mix 1 tbsp of salt per 1 cup of water. The salt should be stirred just before being dropped onto the paper.)
  • We will be observing and drawing what we see on Science Lab Manual #43.

Thank you,

Mrs. Novak
